Jason Giambi hit a two-run home run while Troy Tulowitzki added a solo shot for the Rockies, who have won seven straight and moved within 3 1/2 games of San Diego for first place in the NL West. The Padres lost to San Francisco later Thursday. The Rockies are also 3 1/2 games back of Atlanta for the wild card spot, as Atlanta lost to St. Louis later on Thursday. Drew Stubbs hit a two-run home run while Ramon Hernandez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Reds, who tied their season-high with a fifth straight loss. Cincinnati saw its lead over St. Louis in the NL Central fall to five games. |
